Product Details

Over-temperature conditions can interrupt operation and affect electrical heating equipment. The Meter Star KSD302 thermostat temperature control switch is designed as a fixed-temperature, normally closed snap disc switch that opens the circuit when the monitored surface reaches 100°C/212°F.

This bimetallic snap-action temperature switch is rated 16A at 250V AC. It uses a metal snap disc with a plastic housing, and the normally closed design keeps the circuit closed during normal operation before cutting power at the set temperature threshold.

The KSD302 curved leg fixed ring style supports secure mounting in compatible applications. It is commonly used for over-temperature protection in water heaters, coffee makers, coffee pots, toasters, dryers, and other small household or commercial heating appliances.

For proper performance, install the switch with the metal sensing surface in full contact with the monitored surface. Thermal conductive paste may be used to improve heat transfer, and care should be taken not to deform the sensing cover during installation.
