The thermopile generates 750mV for self-powered operation of compatible safety valves and ignition systems. It also works as a flame-sensing safety component by monitoring the pilot flame so the gas valve operates when flame is present.

Built with high-temperature resistant glass fiber and metal aluminum wiring, this 24 inch replacement thermopile is intended for demanding heat environments, with stated working temperature support up to 700-750°C. The internal resistance range is 1,500 mΩ to 4,500 mΩ.
