Meter Star Gas Fryer Thermocouple Safety Sensor Wire for Pilot Flame and Gas Valve Control

A weak or failed thermocouple can cause a gas fryer or heating appliance to lose pilot flame operation or stop the gas valve from staying open. Built for high-temperature gas appliance environments, the sensor wire features durable insulation suitable for continuous heat exposure up to 1200°F (650°C). When the pilot flame heats the thermocouple, it produces the small electrical current needed to help keep the safety valve open. If the pilot light goes out, the thermocouple cools and stops generating current, allowing the valve safety system to shut off gas flow.
