Overheating control is important in electric heating appliances, drying systems, HVAC components, and other temperature-sensitive equipment. The Meter Star KSD302 thermostat temperature control switch opens the circuit when the sensing surface reaches its calibrated set point of 135°C/275°F, helping interrupt power in compatible applications.

This snap-action thermostat uses Normally Closed (NC) operation: the circuit remains closed below the set temperature and opens when the set temperature is exceeded. It is rated 16A at 250V for use in suitable electrical systems and features a metal sensing cover with a plastic body in a compact 5 g design.

The curved leg fixed ring design supports secure mounting. For accurate contact temperature sensing, the metal cover should be firmly attached to the heated surface with thermal conductive compound, and the sensing cover should not be deformed during installation.

Suitable use scenarios include water heaters, coffee makers, dryers, HVAC components, automotive seat heaters, kitchen appliances, and industrial equipment where the listed rating and 135°C/275°F temperature set point match the application.
