A weak or failed run capacitor can affect the starting and running performance of an air conditioner condenser, compressor, or fan motor. This Meter Star CBB65B dual run capacitor provides 40μF for the compressor motor and 5μF for the fan motor in one round, space-saving housing.

Rated for 370V/440V AC and 50/60Hz single-phase motor applications, this capacitor is suitable for HVAC repair and replacement work on air conditioners, heat pumps, condenser fan motors, and compressors when the microfarad and voltage ratings match the original part. A 440V capacitor may be used in place of a 370V unit when the capacitance rating is the same and the equipment requirements allow it.

The capacitor uses metallized polypropylene film dielectric construction with ±6% capacitance tolerance and a metal shell. It features an anti-explosion metal shell structure, a 10,000 AFC safety rating, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C.

Three clearly labeled terminals help support straightforward wiring: Herm/H for compressor, Fan/F for fan, and C for common. The round body measures approximately 50mm in diameter by 100mm in height, making it a practical replacement option for many round or oval capacitors with matching 40/5μF and 370V/440V AC specifications.
