Heating appliances and electrical equipment often need a dependable thermal cutoff component to interrupt the circuit when a target temperature is reached. The Meter Star KSD302 temperature control switch is designed for normally closed operation, keeping the circuit closed during standard use and opening when the preset temperature reaches 170°C/338°F.

This snap disc thermostat switch is rated for 16A/250V and uses a curved leg fixed ring design for responsive temperature switching. It features a metal sensing cover with an insulating plastic housing for use in supported applications such as water heaters, coffee makers, dryers, microwave ovens, industrial equipment, and other electric heating devices.

For proper thermal sensing, install the metal cover in full contact with the monitored surface. The source recommends using thermal conductive paste or a thermal conductive interface material such as silicone grease to improve heat transfer and temperature response. This pack includes 5 thermostat switches for replacement, maintenance, or multiple installation needs.
