When an appliance or heating device needs heat-triggered circuit control, a snap disc thermostat helps manage on/off switching at a defined temperature point. The Meter Star KSD301 temperature control switch is a normally open thermostat that keeps the circuit open until the temperature exceeds 70°C/158°F, making it suitable for safety cut-in and activation applications.

This thermostat is rated for 250V 10A and uses a snap-action disc mechanism for temperature response. Its compact metal and plastic construction weighs 5g, and the KSD301 flat leg movable ring design supports flexible mounting on controlled surfaces.
