Appliance heating systems and DIY control projects often need a compact switch that responds automatically to surface temperature. The Meter Star KSD301 thermostat is a snap-action temperature control switch designed to stay open under normal conditions and close the circuit when the sensing surface reaches 60°C/140°F.

Rated 10A at 250V AC, this bimetallic snap disc thermostat can be used in a range of heating and appliance control applications, including water heaters, coffee makers, food warming equipment, drying cabinets, and DIY heating projects. The metal sensing cover and plastic housing provide a practical structure for surface-mounted temperature monitoring.

The flat leg movable ring design supports secure installation on the monitored surface. For proper thermal transfer, apply a thin layer of thermal conductive grease between the thermostat metal cover and the installation surface. During mounting, avoid deforming, loosening, or denting the metal cover, as this can affect calibration and performance.
